Armored train drills in Russia

Russian armored train drills have resumed in Russia for the first time in 15 years.

The drills have started off from Volgogard and will go on to Krasnodor, before moving to North Ossetia and finally finishing in Crimea. The military exercise uses Baikal and Amur armored trains. The main function of these trains are to carry military vehicles, troops and equipment. Army forces are being trained to make bridges across the river to provide a passage for the trains. The military drills that include 25 hundred personnel and 350 military vehicles will last until August 20.
