Three Russian Navy vessels of the Pacific Fleet, Admiral Panteleyev, Admiral Vinogradov, both large anti-submarine ships, and Boris Butoma, a large sea tanker, arrived at Manila’s South Harbor for a six-day goodwill visit, Friday.
The goodwill visit is in connection with the hand-over ceremony of donated special military equipment to the Philippines by the Russian Federation. It also coincides with the official visit to the Philippines by Russian Defense Minister, Minister Sergey K Shoygu, who will participate in the 4th Association of the Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Defense Ministers’ Meeting-Plus (ADMM-Plus).
